Classification Of Plastic Bags

We all use various types of bags for various purposes. Some people use them for transportation, whereas, most of us use them for buying and carrying groceries and other related stuff. Plastic bags exist in numerous shapes, sizes, and colors. The most commonly used plastic bag in various places is a transparent plastic bag. Although, many other varieties of plastic bags also exist.

In this article, we will briefly discuss some common types of plastic bags that we use in our daily life. Read on to know what these are:

  1. Polyethylene bags:

Among various types of bags, the most commonly used bag is polyethylene bags. Polyethylene bags aka PE bags is a thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerization of ethylene. The PE bags that are used in industries also contain alpha-olefins and copolymers of ethylene. Polyethylene bags are used for packaging purposes. Hence, they are the best option for packaging those accessories that require high-level protection.

  1. Chlorinated Polyethylene bags:

Chlorinated polyethylene bags or CPE bags are flexible, soft, and strong pulling force bags that are used for wrapping purposes. Whenever you buy a new phone or some electronic device like speakers, charging cables, cell phone cases, and other related equipment, you may remove the CPE bag from the accessory. 

  1. Oriented polypropylene bags:

OPP bags or oriented polypropylene bags are a superior type of plastic bag that is made up of multidirectional polypropylene and polypropylene. They are transparent in color and possess high tensile strength. OPP bags are recommended for packaging clothes or leather.

  1. Polyolefin (PO) plastic bags:

They usually come in clothes. You may have seen such bags when you buy new clothes; which are packed with plastic bags and have double-sided rubber seals.
