How To Protect Plants From Excess Heat?

Nowadays increasing temperature has been becoming a global issue. All living beings are suffering from its adverse effects. Not only human beings but all the animals, insects, and especially plants are suffering from it.

Despite various beneficial radiations that are good for skin and plant’s surface, sunlight also has a lot of harmful rays. Harmful rays of sunlight are destroying plants in various ways day by day. Ultraviolet radiations are dangerous rays when provided in excess. There are some plants that can not even bear normal heat as compared to others. These plants are heat intolerant plants that need to take a lot of care.

For example, lantana, lemon verbena, mari gold, cosmos, sedum, salvia, etc.  In order to protect these plants, we must take some steps. Various methods are available to protect plants from excess heat. Among various methods, the use of garden shade cloth is the easiest method.

Garden shade cloth is one of the methods of protecting heat intolerant plants from excess warmth of sunlight. Crops are protected from the sun and wind using garden shade cloth or shade netting. They can also be utilized to create a privacy barrier. It acts as shade netting, reducing both the physical and drying impacts of the wind while also protecting against dangerous UV rays. These cloths may be used to shelter plants and seedlings from the sun and wind for more than a year.

Garden shade cloths remove heat by absorbing and filtering light while also protecting against damaging UV rays. Heat is reflected, and UV rays are diffused by shade cloth.  It decreases the quantity of light which ultimately decreases the temperature that gets through while maintaining the spectrum’s purity.
